Family Law
Family Matters Are The Most Difficult Legal Matters
When family matters intersect with legal proceedings, situations get complicated quickly. Relationships between spouses, parents, and their children changed drastically. Your future financial situation becomes less secure. It is most important to work closely with a lawyer when involved in family law proceedings, to make sure the decisions made are in the children’s best interests. Unfortunately many feel they cannot afford the legal help they desperately need.
That’s why we’re here. Access To Law Foundation offers legal representation to individuals and families who might, for financial reasons, hesitate to seek it out. We understand how crucial an attorney intervention can be in family matters, and believe that vulnerable individuals shouldn’t be deprived of qualified legal support based solely on the inability to pay. Based in Norcross, we serve all of Georgia. Reach out to us to learn more.
Protection Against Abuse and Neglect
The physical safety and well-being of the family of individual family members are crucial. When spouses or children are neglected or abused, or feel threatened in any way, our attorneys are able to intervene and obtain temporary protection orders (TPOs).
In such cases, we offer confidential counsel and work swiftly to file the appropriate legal documents to protect vulnerable individuals from harm.
Guidance Through Divorce
Our Foundation is also able to offer counsel to individuals in divorce proceedings. This can be an especially emotional time for many, making you prone to rash decisions with devastating consequences.
We provide guidance through all aspects of divorce, helping our clients with asset division, spousal support, child support, child custody, and more.
Prioritizing Children
The lawyers at Access To Law Foundation place an emphasis on protecting the interests and needs of minor children. Our founding attorney, Rebeca E. Salmon, dedicates a great deal of time in matters involving juveniles and serves as an active member of the National Association of Counsel for Children, the Georgia Association of Counsel for Children, and the Immigrant Children’s Legal Network. She is also frequently called upon to act as a court-appointed special attorney for children in juvenile proceedings. She is a Child Welfare Law Specialist, a legal designation reserved for less than a few thousand nationwide.
Our Foundation handles a variety of child-related legal concerns, including:
- Legitimation/ Paternity
- Custody and Visitation
- Child Support
- Guardianship
- Dependency
- Immigration-Based Juvenile Matters
