Family Matters Are The Most Difficult Legal Matters

When family matters intersect with legal proceedings, situations get complicated quickly. Relationships — between spouses, between parents and their children — change drastically. Your financial future becomes less secure. It is important to work closely with a knowledgeable lawyer when involved in family law proceedings, to make sure the decisions made are in the children's best interest.

Unfortunately, many feel they cannot afford the legal help they desperately need. That's why we're here. Access To Law Foundation offers legal representation to individuals and families who might, for financial reasons, hesitate to seek it out. We understand how crucial an attorney's intervention can be in family matters, and believe that vulnerable individuals shouldn't be deprived qualified legal support based solely on the inability to pay. With offices in Norcross, we are available by appointment in Moultrie and serve all of Georgia. Reach out to us to learn more.

Prioritizing Children

The lawyers at Access To Law Foundation place an emphasis on protecting the interests and needs of minor children. Our Executive Director, Rebeca E. Salmon, dedicates a great deal of time to matters involving juveniles. She serves as an active member of the National Association of Counsel for Children, the Georgia Association of Counsel for Children and the Immigrant Children's Legal Network. She is a Child Welfare Law Specialist — a designation reserved for only a few thousand attorneys nationwide, and accredited by the American Bar Association. She is frequently called upon to act as a Court-Appointed Special Attorney for children in juvenile proceedings.

Our Foundation handles a variety of child-related legal concerns, including:

Protection Against Abuse And Neglect

The physical safety and well-being of your family is crucial. If you or your children have been neglected or abused, or feel threatened in any way, our attorneys are able to intervene and obtain temporary protection orders (TPOs).

In such cases, we offer confidential counsel, and work swiftly to file the appropriate legal documents to protect you and your children from harm.

Guidance Through Divorce

Our Foundation is also able to counsel you through divorce proceedings. This can be an especially emotional time — making you prone to rash decisions with devastating consequences.

We provide guidance through all aspects of divorce, and can help you concerns including asset division, spousal support, child support, child custody and more.
